New web for mobiles
... the weather at hand
IMO has launched a new web designed for mobiles or cellular phones, which is available at m.en.vedur.is.
This first version provides text forecasts, station forecasts and observations of weather.
This is the most frequently accessed information on our main web and should be of use to travellers and tourists who do not have access to the internet, except via their mobiles.
In July this service will be extended. Wind, temperature and precipitation forecasts will be available, as well as information on recent earthquakes and the level of some main rivers.
With further improvement, IMO's mobile web will "remember" the last pages visited and the user's favorite stations.
