Weekly Overview, 27. March - 2. April, 2023
Around 390 earthquakes were detected last week by IMO‘s SIL seismic network, less then the previous week when they counted around 470 in total. No earthquake exceeded a magnitude over 3.0 during this week but the largest earthquake was measured a M2.9 and was located just northeast of Grimsey on the 29th of March, around 50 earthquakes have occured in that location during this past week.
A minor
earthquake swarm began by Mt. Högnhöfði in the evening of 31st of March and is
ongoing, over 50 earthquakes have since been located.
