Mapping runoff
Nordic water-resources, that can be used now and forever were mapped with the support of the Nordic power-research funds within the project Weather and energy (2003-2006), which the reseach- and educational foundations in the Nordic countries and the Baltic countries participated in.
Among the products are a number of maps that are based on an array of climate conditions and hydrological modelling and show water-farming based on conditions now and in the future (Beldring et al,. 2006). The maps take into effect regional climate conditions in four places and are the results of two kinds of modelling (APGCM models) for general circulation of climate in addition to the release of two greenhouse-gas varieties.
